Celtic get their chance to advance to the next round as they host Copenhagen in the second leg of their Europa League round-of-32 duel on Friday at Celtic Park. But Copenhagen have the same agenda as they aim to make good impression away. Read on for Celtic vs FC Copenhagen Prediction and betting tips.

Celtic vs FC Copenhagen Match Previews

A nine-match winning run in all competitions by Celtic in all competitions was snapped by Copenhagen in their opening duel at Telia Parken as the hosts from Denmark forced a 1-1 draw, turning this coming match into a winner-take-all affair.

On a positive note for Celtic, that away goal was their first away in a European knockout tie since Henrik Larson netted a goal at Portuguese side Boavista in 2003 that move the Scots into the UEFA Cup final.

That performance at Copenhagen gave Neil Lennon’s men plenty to cheer about as they aim to frustrate the visitors at Celtic Park in their bid to reach the round-of-16.

BOUNCING BACK

After a 2-1 loss to visiting Rangers, Celtic, who captured the domestic treble of Premiership, Scottish Cup and League Cup for an unprecedented third successive season in2019, bounced back with nine straight wins in all competitions, two of them at home.

Neil Lennon’s men were on a four-game winning run in their last matches until they were halted at Telia Parken where Copenhagen leveled through a 52nd-minute goal from striker Dame N’Doye. Celtic had taken a 1-nil lead earlier through striker Odsonne Edouard’s goal in the 14th minute.

Copenhagen, the reigning champions in Denmark who are in their fourth Europa League round-of-32 campaign, will also be buoyed after sharing the spoils in the first leg, albeit Celtic appear hard to hurdle at Celtic Park where they had scored eight goals in two latest Scottish Premiership games.

Prior to this meeting, Celtic warmed up by whipping visiting Kilmarnock 3-1 to stay ahead in the Scottish Premiership, whilst Copenhagen salvaged a 1-1 draw at Silkeborg to remain second in the Danish Superliga standings.
